...by means of Natural Selection

Well, this may arrive a little bit late but I couldn't let Darwin's Fest go without blogging. So... we begin here the festivities on the so-called The Year of Evolution 2009. This gathers the 200th anniversary of good ol' Charles Darwin's birth, the 150th anniversary of the publication of On Origin of the Species and (oddly) the 200th anniversary of the publication of Philosophie Zoologique by Jean Baptiste de Lamarck.

You can read more in darwin-online, including full books!

And a petite homage for the art piece that my advisor cooked for his son AND Darwins B-Days: (I still can't understand how can she be a full-time professor, advisor of around 20 alumni and still have time to bake such complex cakes!)

Pelusa Prohibida
